I think this is what you’re going to see on Saturday, when DCU squares off against Sporting KC. Since Pontius is still not at full strength, look for a combination of Cruz and Pontius, or possible DeLeon if Pontius can’t make an appearance. The rest of the lineup is straight forward, and looks like three points to me. I will do an SKC preview tomorrow, and will talk about the ways in which I hope Teal Bunbury does not inspire any more awesome songs.
- Ethan White needs some knee surgery, possibly cleaning up something from his previous knee surgery this summer. White injured himself while on US U23 duty, and based on the short recovery time, and the follow up procedure, I’d speculate that this was a meniscus issue. Luckily, DC is not counting on White to provide major minutes this year. At least, yet.
- I have to say that I love the nickname, “Boomer”. Lance Rozeboom, who just signed his contract with DC, has to perform well to live up to that pithy, yet awesome moniker.
