An Introduction

After an enforced exile from the organized DC United blog universe, I have decided to rekindle my web presence and write about the team once again.  Like Napoleon from Elba, I have escaped and will likely try to win a land war in Russia, or maybe just make really bad MS Paint renderings of Kurt Morsink.  Hopefully, this will give me a productive outlet for defensive lapse induced rage, and substitute for twitter binges caused by an unwillingness to shoot from outside the 6 yard box.

This is me, changing the game of soccer for ever, probably. Also, showing Rob Holmes behind me what's what.

My name is Jon, and I used to write the DC United blog on The Offside network.  Since my departure, the blog has been taken over by a mysterious cabal of Russian oligarchs (speculation), and I was unable to communicate with its new absentee landlord to regain my rightful place at the throne.  So, as all good putsches go, I am going to foment dissent in the best way I know how; making an awesome blog that people, like, link to, and stuff.

I also share correspondent duties on Around the League, a podcast on CSRN.  I’m on pretty much every other week, but you should definitely add it to your iTunes podcast list.

Because I had to pay WordPress 40 freakin bucks to get this page to look how I’d like it to, you can expect some regular posting, with previews, recaps, and interviews, if I remember how to make that happen.  I can promise you puns, jokes about horrible former DCU players, and historical and pop culture references that may require the use of google.

Welcome back to the fold. Love that you put DCenters on the blogroll, even if it did make me wistful for Six Word Novel Title Match Reviews…

I might contract D on a per word basis for those, just to give the people what they want and need.
